anyone have a solid 4.8 or 5.3 vortec engine lying around they want to sell?? or know where to find a cheaper and available one??

you can get these motors for about $600-$800 at 7th ave depending on mileage. They usually got a few on hand all the time. But I think thats going to be your best bet.

Check Roadside Salvage north of fergus. Last time I checked they had a low mile 5.3 for $600.

I just bought a 5.3 complete and a 6.0l (which is going in my mustang project) on friday if you need a 6.0l core to rebuild I have one had minor piston slap. I believe around 60 k on the motor or you could just use it as is cause they all have piston slap.
