And bad Transmissions. Wait, what year are we talking? If we're talking about the newest ones they have horrible transmissions, my friend has has his replaced twice now and it only has 2500 miles.

cams...not an issue anymore...hasn't been for several months.

tailgate issue doesn't concern me, I don't own an ATV/Snowmobile/Motorcycle...so I'm ok there.

transmission issues, this is the first I've heard of that. Especially w/ the 6 speed. If your buddy has a 5 speed (or is it 4 speed...I forget) he should have manned up and got the big motor.

At the end of the day, at least it isn't a Ford.

it had/has the 6 speed. Right now he's in between the 2nd and 3r transmission at Chester Berg Toyota in Bemidji. This is only the 2nd one I've heard of with transmission troubles so I was just stirring shit up, I'm sure most of them are fine.

my dad has owned probably bout 5-6 different powerstrokes and never once did he have a problem with any of them..

I'm a big fan of the tundra. good build quality, great power. my buddies 08 seems to be holding up just fine.

im just going to say this... im betting if i drove one for a week like i drive my dodge.... it would be falling apart.... paint off the cab and most likely a bent frame.... open c-channel FTMFL.... im just not impressed... i have an idea!... lets build a truck and send it over to the americas before doing any real R&D... great idea!

The problem was it was built/designed over here. From what I can tell, so long as I don't drive over tire chocks/speed bumps perfectly spaced for a couple hundred feet @ 28 mph for about I have a hell of a time to even get the bed to shimmy a little. But yes, if I was to get into a race in a parking lot w/ lots of speed bumps, I'd probably mess something up.

I have seen the videos of the bed bounce, but have yet to see one where someone actually bent a frame (I'm sure they are out there, just haven't seen them yet)
