Bryce's Crx build thread!
-
I got my crx 5 years ago with 89,ooo miles on it. It was a stock 2nd owner 1988 Crx Si. First thing I did was replace the brakes, new tires, Exedy street clutch. A few months later it went in for some much needed new paint.

Then I ordered a Integra Xsi B16a from Hmotorsonline with Hasport mounts, Exedy S1 clutch, CTR valve cover, Vison CF plug cover. Matt (DrifterExtreme) and I installed the swap in his garage.

I tore down the car down in the fall to get it prepped for the wire tuck. Then it was too cold to work in my unheaded garage.. Thank god for spring! Yesterday I started the rebuild and figured I would make a build thread.
Matt came over and was working hard doing his magic on the wire tuck. Now if I could find some hosting that would work I could post the pictures I have:icon_scratch:

Nice car. Very clean. lower that bizzo! haha

This is the car as it sits now.

Then Matt started wire tucking the bay.

Pulling the wires and extending them.

Starting to look pretty damn good. Heat, wiper motor, and that nasty old intake all gone from the bay.

Then I started on those nasty brakes:icon_salut: Long over due..

Hard at work cleaning:P

Then after some paint, and more TLC.

And a little sexy motor shot for you.

And for today I will leave you with some old pictures of the crx:icon_salut:

Very nice, I have to say this is one of the cleanest CRX's around. Can't wait to see this thing done, what are your plans? Thanks so much for the support, and nice comments guys:icon_cheers:
As for plans? I have a list at home three pages long of all the modifications I would like before I start to feel the car is "Done". But I'll spair you the pain of looking though that, and just type up my plans for this summer.
After the wire tuck is done I'm putting the interior back in, then she is sent to the body shop for some work. It needs some small parts like a new axle/halfshaft, and random nuts and bolts. I want to get some nice coilovers, good tires, and a RSR catback. Oh and a 91 front bumper with J'sRacing front lip:P Maybe a EDM wing.
At some point shes getting some larger brakes and a Autopower roll bar too:icon_salut:

This car is so sexy, good job man. Very, very clean CRX.

Good choice on the lip and wing, has to be pretty much the sexiest look for a crx... I was planning on doing both to my car after I get my front, and I think kyle talked about doing those also... Last I checked jdmshit.com had some good prices on both. I'll be getting rid of the front end off my 90 when I get $$ to get the JDM one, if u need any parts off it lmk....
-
Bryce, you forgot to put a turbo on your list of things to do.....And as always, car is looking ubersexy.
-
i think hes one of those " i gots me some extra camz i dont needs da booost". lol jk

Today I got some solid work done. Matt figured out that the stock crx si air box is the same size as the SiR air box.
So I cleaned up my si airbox, then installed it. Next I'm going to have a 3 inch pipe bent to get rid of that nasty skinny stock intake arm.
I got rid of the sound deadning tar from all the places I didn't need it anymore. Then reinstalled the carpet after I cleaned it. It's perfect, no stains, no rips:icon_salut:
Edit: MORE UPDATES COMING! I need to wait tell I get to a friends place to upload the rest of my pictures and info, stay tuned.
