I Hate The F-ing Cold

alarm thats all i can think of..............i dont know how much that draws. i guess i could just turn it off.
-
does valet mode shut the alarm off completly so it wont draw?
-
are you from around here? if not, get used to the cold, it can be a real bitch
-
yeah i am but i hate it more and more haha minot is always warmer, but not by much!
any ideas?

i would say it's your battery needs to be replaced.

I have the same problem in my stealth. Brand new battery, altenator, belts, fuel filter, plugs, ignition coil pack, wires checked fine, fuel pump works to spec, injectors are not clogged, fuel and lines are fine, no parasitic draw on the battery(battery checked perfect after sitting for 36 hours). The only cure I have found for the problem is drive a chevy pickup in the winter. If anyone has any good advice for either of us please feel free share(sorry for semi-whoring your post).

definitely sounds like it could be the alarm.. but you wouldnt think it would draw that much power. what if someone is gone for a week and doesnt use their car? i would imagine the manufacturer would make it so you wouldnt have to jump it if it sits after a couple days.
i got a brand new (cheap) battery for my talon last fall and i can leave it out overnight in 30 below weather and it starts no problem the next morning.

do you have an alarm?
an other thing, i dont know completly about alarms, but i am trying to figure out if alarms have a power cap or not, because the battery is pretty much dead, and the alarm still activates, maybe i broke a cell, cuz the battery was alittle swolen haha.

my battery goes dead from my alarm all the time!

if its swollen its prolly frozen...i guess i dont know how cold it is up there but if it gets discharged and its below freezing then you have a frozen battery...not a good situation...
If this hapopens, your un-intentionally making a bomb. The right conditions and your battery can blow. Take it out, bring it inside and let it thaw out. put it back in, and you might fix your problem. -
You dont have any subs in your car do you? My roomie has a 99+ Cougar with a pretty good system in it and he has trouble starting in the cold because he sits in the car and lets it idle with the stereo up before shutting it off.
I had a little bit of pain getting my car started but it always did.

nope no subs or gauges or anything just an alarm
