I would suggest coming up on a Friday to enjoy the preparty, leave late Sunday night or Monday to enjoy the Sunday night cruising scene in Winnipeg.

My hands on experience from last year. When you cross into Canada, border patrol will ask for everyone's ID, I gave them my license. They'll ask your purpose of crossing the border and for how long. On the way back, they'll ask for the same thing, but since i'm foreign, I gave them my passport instead of my license. They'll also ask if you're bringing any prohibited materials, do not lie to them!! Also, be prepare to be search, they'll go through everything from your car to suit cases. Everyone will be put in a small room with pockets emptied.

You'll get you and everyone else in the car in trouble. And if you're going clubbing, your ID will get tested under infared/black light machine.

Canadian spelling dictates that center is the middle, whereas centre is a place of gathering.

I was kinda leaning towards no just cause I brung it to hot import night-chicago and i got over 20,000 miles on it in about 14 months. But if Im forced to I always can. -

If you're under 18, there's lots of places to chill in Winnipeg. Try hitting up Osborne Village or Corydon for some Italian ice cream and watch all the people on the street. It's like a party every night on Corydon.
There is also a Black Eyed Peas concert the friday before the car show.

Photography tips for SCN:
- STRONGLY suggest tripod
- with tripod, try using longer exposures (without flash of course)
- use flash for models etc. is fine
- play around with the white balance
- I suggest using a 2 second timer to avoid camera blur (or use cable
release if applicable)

at HIN there were alot of cameras flying around the place. almost all had an external flash. i am referring to SLR and DSLR cameras here. there was also a number of people who were lugging tripods as well. i stopped a few and asked them how much of a pain it was? overall they said it was not a pain at all. as it gave them a different feel than all the flash gave them.
i had forgot to put it in my cart but i hope to have it by SCN. and that is a diffuser for my exernal flash. it helps to reduce the harsh light from the flash as it disperses it better than just right off the flash head.
nice tips though.
i did notice at HIN as i have at many of the local indoor car shows........that many will wait for you to get the shot or walk around.....but there are a whole lot of people who will not..
so if you are after whole car shots then be warned of people walking front of you. so be different and get up close for the odd shots or unique shots...Monty
