I looked into it, its expensive, but their scheduling is really good for people w/ full time jobs. You can take classes just at night if you want. I heard they're not accredited. As far as I know they are now. I'm still not sure whether credits transfer yet though.

They are regionally accredited I believe, atleast thats what I saw when I was in there last for work. That usually means a decent chance in getting your shit to transfer. My Brown College credits are worthless too, fuck corporate schools like that. Woulda been better had they not been bought out after I enrolled.

i think it is best to stay away from for-profit educational institutions. stick with state schools or larger and older private schools (luther, gustavus, concordia, etc). knowledge should be free, but there would be no incentive to be a teacher, so one should expect to pay a nominal amount.

My girlfriend is considering going there for an accounting diploma. She already has a degree from NDSU. She needs to name someone that "referred" her so she can get $1000off tuition. That is why I asked if anyone here went there that she could name.

what sort of degree does she have? if she's so interested in accounting (perhaps to reach cpa-status?), than i would suggest taking some accounting courses at ndsu, basically, getting a ba or bs in accounting or something similar. with that under her belt, she would be able to take the cpa exams (her mileage may vary, she should inquire about the exams before hopping into more debt from school or following my suggestions like a google-maps route).
don't misconstrue, i'm all for more education, knowledge is something no one ever outgrows, but you can be overqualified to get hired anywhere but blue-collar work, and, even then, she may have a hard time getting in the door. trust me, i speak from experience.
