the truth! about the death of cody lahr
-
i just sat there and read the ranting and raving bullshit about the accident that happend on 25th st. okay well here i got this info from a person that witnessed the whole accident... Anyway Rest In Peace Cody you will be missed buddy.
Forward from a friend of mine:
Well i live less than a block away from where the accident happened. My friend was a witness to the entire thing and i was there right after. People are saying that cody was doing a wheelie which may or may not be true. My friend never saw it but she knows he had both tires on the ground and control of his bike when he hit that escalade. The girls driving that car cut him off. My friend was waiting to turn and she had the right away. The escalade cut her off too. Cody had maybe ten seconds to respond and my friend said she saw him try to swerve. It was too late. I know that the girls are beyond traumatized but i want his family to know that his possible reckless driving did not entirely cause his death. Those girls would have hit my friend had she not be waitin for cross traffic. Either way they were in the wrong. We have both contacted police, radio, and newspaper but have had heard nothing back about the results of what is going to happen. We are trying to tell the truth. Cody and his family deserve that

Not trying to prove or start anything........
But, where is the proof that the story is true? In this situation, the only thing I will believe is a video tape. Lots of people will believe they saw this or that. In fact they did not see that, its just what they though they saw after they realized what happened or heard what people said about it.
From what I took from this, the righter was not even a witness to the accident. Read the red in the quote below. When the person writing that got to the accident does not matter, she did not see it.

im just saying everyone was saying he was doing a wheelie when he hit this truck, and this is from a person that was right there and witnessed it as it happend.K so his wheel was down on impact...... but in the previous seconds it was up...
and was still going 50+ at impact??

I did not see the impact (as stated about 100 times in the other thread), but I did see everything leading up to it and he was speeding/driving wrecklessly. The girl pulled out when he was still back by the bank...at about that same time he accelerated HARD pulling the wheel up....honestly don't recall how far up...but enough to be noticed by both myself (who I consider a reliable witness) and Paul Jerguns of KFGO (also a great witness). Perhaps he got into the brakes prior to impact...I didn't see that part, but from my vantage point he was NOT in control when I had him in view and she did not illegally enter into his lane of traffic.

So he had 10 seconds to react. That sounds like a shit ton of time. So how fast was he going when he impacted. He must have been going pretty fast for the outcome of the accident wouldnt you say? I mean a 25-30 mph impact I dont think would have been so devistating.

This is no different than hearsay(because thats really what it is). A friend of a friend saw it...yeah cause things get transfered truthfully that way...
And about the part where you say the girl cut your friend off too, when I believe Chuck stated he was in front of traffic at the intersection...and even if he wasn't, your friend somehow managed to not get in an accident, but the bike did?
