        like clap says. id double check the firing order, as for the timing i had a car that did that. mine turned out to be a intermediate shaft on the distributor. seeing you did a belt make sure you arent a cog or two off.

          pull em out and check to make sure each of them is getting spark, it they are then your dizzy, wires, and plugs are good...double check the firing order just to be sure too.

            take your coil out and ohm it out. sounds like ur problem, weak coil

                Yeah I'm sure if the firing order was incorrect, the car would run like total horseshit. Same with the timing belt, if it was off a tooth, it would probably run really badly. I'll have to find some specs for the coil and try that out.

                  well i dont know about a honda, but yes when my timing belt was off 1 cog the car did run and infact it did run like it had a limiter. but, Sorry for giving my advise on this subject, apparently some know more about it, ill step aside and let them fix it. :icon_puke_r:

                      Mine was off like 2 or 3 teeth... bogged out bad till bout 3-4k rpms then would go just fine...

                        if the timing belt is off it can run fine but studder through the entire rpm range. take the dizzy cap off, the bolt that holds the rotor on, the rotor, then unscrew the two screws holding the wires on the coil, ohm it out, should be 16 ohms. if its lower your coil is weak.

                          Thanks for the info. Even when I free rev it, it will sputter for a half sec and then rev just fine. I might mess w/ the timing belt. I just want to verify that the single cam will run just fine in certain RPM and throttle ranges when the timing belt is off. That's quite a bit different than a DOHC cam motor which is what I'm used to.
