Well I will assume we are talking road racing, an s2000 or a miata would be a preferred platform, but I see nothing wrong with a civic. I think there have been plenty of companies as well as independent people who have had great success with them.

better add auto X, drag, and drifting aswell.......

civic would be the preferred platform to get groceries when snowy/icy out

Miatas and S2k's are not the best drift cars. If they were, you would see more of them. I am not saying it can't be done. But how many professional teams run them?

            Mr. Ihaveaids:
What do you even know about auto-x or road race? What you read on the introwebz does not count.

I was just getting at the fact they are better at drifting than civics are( not that a civic can even accomplish it)....;)

I know very little. Just have seen many well set up civics. AEM runs an S2k for a drift car, RSR used to not sure if they still do, I think thats about it though.

If civics were such bad platforms you wouldn't see the demand or the aftermarket support they have. what company is going to do R&D for a platform that won't be used or perform poorly. Civics miatas and S2Ks are all good platforms.

you can build a quick civic for a hell of a lot cheaper then any S2K. does the ability to make a relatively quick car for very little $$$ make the civic a bad platform?
