I couldnt care less. I am a very strong believer in chevy automatics. Then again, I dont deal with anything that has a 4l80.

Ive had nothing but great luck with 4l60s, 700r4s, and turbo 350 and 400s. Meanwhile ive torn out 3 fords.

I had an idea like that once. It was a "Jump To Conclusions" mat.

its not a 4l80, its a 4l70, big difference. Theres bad trucks out there, you make enough your gonna get a bad one. I would blame most of the transmission trouble on the dealer. Being a warrantee issue, the entire trans should have been replaced and this problem would have been taken care of. They did shitty repair work, causing the sprag to go because they didnt fix the problem. Aside from that, a "reconditioned" trans should have had those parts replaced.
But, tough, one bad report out of the hundreds of praise articles is nothing. Hell, if it was a toyota they would have bought the POS back before it had a chance to break, lol

                Yep didn't know that....

just read and the 4L70 is basically a 4l60 with hardened shafts and 5 pinion planets......... absolutely nothing near a 4l80

weren't all the earlier 1500 HD pickups with the 6.0 equipped with the 80??

the 4l60 can be stout as shit with the right parts and builder..... still no 80 though

are they stock trannys behind stock motors? If so, what vehicle model?
