is that manifold coated or what?

Yea, i opted for a coated manifold because evo's have sweet ricer vented hoods. and those vents just happen to be over the manifold.

no offence but what is up with the manifold and wastegate position?

I asked him the same thing, and it's how all of his single scroll mani's are built.

Hey zac nice to see you are playing with ur EVO!!! Should be a fun car when your done.. But as it seems when is a car ever done? What 1/4 mile, hp are you shooting for? What brand Suspension did you go with?

Why did you send your head off ? Is it getting ported? or just springs and retainers? What cams did you buy?

Why didnt you contact SLS for your Manifold and Downpipe?

I donk know if you heard But I got my Evo running the other night.. Sounds like our cars should make about the same power...

Good luck and keep posting pics..

I am not sure what the 1/4 mile or power will be. its a new revision of this turbo so im kinda the test dummy.

I sent the head core off for some machining, along with the springs and retainers. Nick @ DTM sent it to headgames to do some valve seating work, and chamber machining and who knows what else. i kinda told him to just have at it. But it will be fitted with a set of custom grind cams. they are supposedly a 280, but more along the lines of a 300.

I am waiting right now for my rods/pistons/bearings...so once those get i will have an idea of what to expect. I went with stock bore wiseco pistons, and carillo rods. there will be some machining done to the block to clean it up a little bit, but not much i dont think.

I originally was going to do a similiar setup to joe's, and spoke with Nick @ SLS very breifly about it. But the deal i got on this was just too good, so i had to bite.

I heard from jeremy that you guys finished the car last week, i though you would never get that thing done lol. when i make it back up we will have to do some "comparing" haha.

what sucks is we have 93 on pump here, so i dont know how my tune will do with the 91 you guys have up there.

well you should tell him to fix the wastegate for your manifold. It looks bad and i can tell it is pulling off 1 runner(well from the pic).

oh and kevin sls has a good track record, he should have ordered from nick.....:icon_scratch:

the manifold is warrantied, so if there is any over boosting it will either get fixed or replaced.

Just drive it normal for the cruise up on 91 will be fine, then do 10% toulene with pump gas= 93 octane, for the fun times....

Well, I got the head back last week. Headgames did a really good job. Ill pull the pictures off in a few and post them up.

as of last week my (i believe) my pistons and rods are in, so we are just waiting for my block to get back from machining so we put everything else together.

I dont remember if i said this or not, but i am going to be using the factory crank.

Also my wheels will be here tomorrow, and i should be getting my new diff in soon.

                                          30% over the flow rate.

As far as factory flow rate, i dont know the numbers.

and im too busy to hit up google.

The car was started and running this after noon. I got the call that it was running and was able to hear it in the back ground. Ive got a few vacuum leaks to fix when i get there and then it goes on the dyno right after for a break in tune.
