As far as if it is legal or not-- I don't actually think it is. But someone would need to be seriously irate to even notice.
It's legal, as long as u have every little piece of paperwork, and it passes emissions testing, etc.... Unless u live in MN, ND, probably most of the midwest, u can pretty much do whatever the hell u want to ur car...
