Is he the one that was there all morning? He had apparently just gotten out when I went walking around here a few minutes ago because he came tearing over my direction. Judging by the way he took off it's a 2WD with an open diff. I thought there was a car buried there this morning when I tried to get out. (or is it further east yet?)And yeah, it was snowing in my garage too. Most of it was blowing under the door so I went out and shoveled a bunch of snow up against it. Buddy's bike is in the garage and its now covered in snow.
It was there like 10 this am, on the east entrance. The wind is blowing the top of the garage door open and coming in there.

LOL, i hope you got some good laughs out of that guy........ so he denies help, and then waits, and shovels himselfwow
I did..
even thinking about leaving right now in anything less than a fullsize 4WD truck is stupid. I at least figured he'd make it through that drift but it's gotten quite a bit deeper since I went through it this morning (granted it only takes about 10" of snow for a Grand Prix to be stuck). But I knew he'd be hosed because he was headed toward the spot where that explorer was stuck that bookem posted.
Say bookem - you live in the 2nd building in right?

LOL shoveling ftl! i had to shovel and push my car through the snow bank just to get it back in my garage, after coming back from work, i am not going anywhere now. It is parked in the garage and that is where it is staying till the shit is cleared up! Shit i even had to help my buddy dig and push his awd A4 out even he got stuck!

When I tried to get out at 8am there was one right on the north end kinda between the 2 apartments that looked like it had been sitting there a while.

Yes got that one out, many others are trying to get throught now.
And the snow is up to those stop signs at the south end of the garages. -
well I just talked to a few people here..
Amber Valley Parkway is shut down just past the Amber Valley apartments east entrance. There are at least 6 vehicles that have been abandoned in that area. I just spent a few minutes talking to a couple of people who stopped here to warm up - one that ended up stranded and one that got pulled into Pracs. Also talked to a guy in a crew cab Chevy 4WD and he ended up parking his truck in our lawn because he can't get back to the twinhomes.
Its bad.
The one chick said she called 911 in hopes they could somehow come get people out but they've got no options available. Sounds like the plows have tried to get down AVP but can't right now.
Wonder if the ranger is still stuck out in front of your place...

Ranger is still out there, not even trying to get out. A blade is out there barely moving.

Thought about getting the Tahoe out and going to pull that damn ranger out so they can clean the damn driveways.

On that note - I do sure wish I had put 33s on the Tahoe already. Sure help (although I'd still never get through this). Also wish I had a big winch.. but alas, wish in one hand...

so, to pour another glass or to not pour another glass....
Eventually the jag is going to overtake the red bull and I'm going to crash hard.
I almost felt bad when I was talking to the people that got stranded. I'm standing there in the hallway wearing shorts and flipflops drinking a cold mixed drink and these poor bastards are shaking uncontrollably. I thought about inviting them in but I didn't want to get raped tonight.

A city motor grater drove down my street earlier this morning with the blade down, so the street is actually ok.
2 dudes were walking down the middle of the street because it was empty and the sidewalks are totally blended into the yards.. there's not even a dip where the shovelled sidewalks used to be. It's normally a busy street but I've seen maybe 5 vehicles driving down it all day.
My wife hit the grocery store yesterday to make sure we'd be fed this weekend. It's pajama day at our place.
If the drifts freeze solid some people will be in bad shape. My Audi is pretty good in the snow but its a bit short on ground clearance and too much plastic for me to want to "go plowing" in it.

sell ya my winch
