The new R1 is awesome, and I wish I could get rid of mine for one. Look at the firing order and it gets a little bit confusing. I wish the US got the Euro R1 that is white w/ the red swingarm.

you can compare the 848 and the new r1 sounds in person...we have a 2009 848 at my dealership...sounds different, but so did the 2008 cbr1000rr and look how great that worked out...literbike showdown champ

overpriced yes...but the 2009 848 won the 2009 supersport shootout...so i guess it could walk over you any day

ethan, you also have to remember, it has to be stock supersport against stock supersport...putting a 112hp bike against per se your 1000 wouldn't even be a race, but now you on a stock supersport vs the stock 2009 848, thats a race, plus i can't race it, it would be up to my boss if he let me take it for that

No, it really isn't. You get the 848 to the track, and i'll get a stock GSXR 1000 to the track, and the 848 will get murdered.

I'm not even trying to be a dick about this.....I don't believe it would happen any other way.
