I have heard good things about 46and2. I don't want flash or any of that shit, I want something completely custom designed for me.

      what does flash mean?

and if I described something for them, would they draw it up for me if I paid for their time, or would they be pissed if I ended up not getting it tattoo'd?

I had an idea like that once. It was a "Jump To Conclusions" mat.

I had one done at 46 and 2 and they did pretty good. And they charge about half what other places in town do (you wouldn't believe the quotes I got from Addictions and Dead Rockstar for a black armband). But if you want experience, Tank's in Glyndon is a good place. They used to be in DL. I have seen some amazing shit come out of there.

the wife's back was all done freehand at 46and2 (everything but the cat paws, which were done years ago at a different shop and are now incorporated into the tattoo)...these are the most recent pics I have of it but she has since filled in the bottom. He is currently drawing up my sleeve and my wife's sleeve. Josh (97lt1) also has quite a bit of 46and2 work.

The place greg is refering to is golden needle tattoo. Anita has been doing tattoos longer than anyone in the FM area. She is a true artist too, not just a tattoo artist. I beleive she has an art degree as well. Greatt at drawing things up for you.

Myself and a couple of buddies have our work from their.

My wife used to get all of her work done by anita (and has since had it fixed or covered), and while she used to be a good artist, it's just that....used to be. She can't hold the machine still any more and most of her recent work that I have seen has ended up pretty blown out pretty quick. I have no personal experience with her, nor have I seen very much of her work, but the work that i've seen her put out within the last few years I haven't been impressed with.

I would recommend Trent at Addiction's. He does an awesome job and is an awesome guy. I've seen lots of work by 46and2 and would say they do a good job too.

46and2 does some great work. Especially Paul with his portraits. But I usually go to underground artists. They do some of the best work at much better prices.

Independent Ink is another good one.

46 and 2, just go in there and tell them what you want and if you don't like what they draw up just tell them and they will rework it and make changes. When you like what they have drawn up you make a appointment to get tattoed.

Paul did my right sleeve and this spring I'm going to have him start drawing up my left sleeve.
