what motor to swap in my ae86
-
bubba you are correct. the sr5 to gts swap is some work but on club4ag.com there are right ups on what to do everywhere.
if you do want to do a 20v swap i would recomend the black top. even tho its alittle more expensive. if you were to choose silver top 20v you cant run open itb unless you have a blacktop wiring harness and ecu or ems. blacktop you can run with just a afc. also with doing the 20v swap the "right" way you have to relocate the distributer and water pipes have to be ran different as both will hit the fire wall. or you can just pound the shit out of the firewall.
stock 4ag is fine will the minor bolt ons but you might want alittle more power.
4agze s/c motor is nice and holds up pretty well. can be a turbod monster. and basically direct swap.
sr20/13b/20b have been done and arent crazy hard swaps (except 20b) from what ive read.
f20c/2jz/3sgte all stupid hard swaps and will take months to finish.
one thing i have learned over the last couple of months and the few times i was out trying to learn a few things is get a good seat, sit in it all the time, mod the driver b4 the motor

anybody know the specs on lug pattern i cant find them anywhere on the net.. i wanna find out what i can look for i have a couple in mind like a nice set of works or maybe some bbs rimsI got some 2pc old school 17" Volks that are in rough shape but would make great dorifto wheels and they're staggered and cheap. Along with the same bolt circle.

and i think you should put a B18 in it. Because if you want to go slow, why spend as much money as possible....besides, you can hear vtak.

stick with the 4ag family. If you want to drift, chassis balance is gonna be a big deal to you once you figure it out. 4age with bolt ons and a good tune is enough to be able to drift just fine.

well all you people saying v8 are retarded. period
if i were to build a 86 i would go beams 3sge.
But if you really want to get this done before summer then just stuff a 4ag in it, and drive it. you can always upgrade later.
