ha, it needs a rebuild, i will prolly stroke it to 408, apparently you can bore and stroke 6.0ls to 434 or something like that but i donno.

    better start reading on Tech....

the lq4/lq9, what you have, is a 4.00 stock bore/ 3.622 stock stroke........

as a general guideline the lq4/lq9 blocks are to be kept around .030-040 max oversize .... usually not more that .010 on the ls1/ls2 aluminum blocks

the only way you are getting a 434" motor out of a lq9/lq4 block is with a >4.125 stroke or a sleeved block........... which is pointless when you can have the LSX block for less money

and the gm harness is a cake walk

i must of missed it, i just sorta skimmed them.

i have heard that the gm harness is easy, but i dont have one. so i thought if i could buy one that is matted to a 240 harness then that would be easier.

hinson has everything covered in the lsx/240 thing too

and Tech will cover any lsx question you could ever ask

yes, but in this case it was dunlop tires. So i took that and inserted what was relevant to the current topic, and WHAM! Whitty remark with minimal effort. See what i did there?

The hinson stuff is kinda expensive. There are better options out there
                http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids-28/
go there, search for 240 and you will find 50-60 swaps that people either did themselves or used purchased mounts/etc. every option is covered.

                    because it is good....

I am not a fan of their mounts for the FC anyway....

but it is hard to beat their headers, cooling systems, ect
