what does 300whp have to do with showing your car? you cant see hp. Its a car show. So, do that, clean it up, make it presentable, and show it.The engine bay will be pretty lol. I will be doing body work to fix rust but that comes last.

When I walked into the show last year the caliber of cars just blew me away, I'm sure I'll be blown away again this year. Also, as much as I love imports, I personally would like to see some more classic muscle there. Hopefully we all can get the word out to even more people so there will be even a bigger variety this year, I know the magazine exposure that Tint Masters and Tony's S2000 has had will help greatly.

I completely agree with getting more muscle cars. I think having some muscle cars will add variety. Variety=more people=more $. I just think that there are a lot of old school guys around that would apprieciate american muscle. We don't discriminate against american muscle. There is one guy who has brought his old school Olds Hurst to the show every year. I love seeing this diversity. I think the problem is more on their end. Being it is always going to be a 'import' dominated show, they don't want to be a part of a 'ricer' show. We promote the show at Toppers, and the downtown weekly 'meets'...we just don't seem to have the 'right' show for them. Anyone that has interest in showing their vehicle is welcome. 1900's or 2000's doesn't make a bit of difference to me.

Idk to me when I think of P10, HIN, etc. I think imports and stuff like that, not muscle cars... There's tons of other shows for them around here...This is true. There are a lot of big shows in Minneapolis, as well as Toppers. We have started to add an import touch to Toppers, and I wish they (muscle car owners) would see the automotive culture as a whole, rather than where the car originated. It would be pretty fun to have an import vs. domestic showdown at P10, and then bring the attitudes to the drag strip the next day.

"The show takes place in very low lit surroundings, with each car/club providing a different 'theme' to their display. Whether extensive lighting, tv's, or models are used is completely up to the entrant, however entering the show without some sort of display tends to make for harder viewing. "
does this mean you have to be in a car club?
do you have to have lighting and what not?

Well, they did book the entire dome this year, so there should be more space available for entrants.
This year should be insane...last year the judges only had ~3 minutes per car to go through them and score them. Are there going to be any changes to the way it the show is judged? Not in the actual scoring, but has there been any thoughts on groups of judges scoring just honda/toyota/subaru/etc? I think that this is something that could be done quickly. Then have the head judge of each group go around and pick the best of show, best paint and other "specialty" awards.
Again, I'm not trying to stir the pot...just offering my $.02 based on past experience.

that would be good as well...or at least no one who is showing would be allowed to judge their own class. That would be pretty fair I'd think.

The answer given for this response is correct. It makes no difference if you are in a club or not. I guess the only difference would be that you wouldn't be able to win the 'best crew/club' award. Other than that, your chances of winning are just as good as the guy with 50 'club' members.

Sweet just make sure there are a lot more entries available than last year, so every one that wants to enter gets toThere was plenty of spaces available last year. If everyone commits the show in a timely fashion, there should be no reason why you wouldn't get in. It is a first come, first served basis. If you wait until the last day to get your registration in, you might be out of luck, but if you commit to the show weeks in advance and get your registration in at that time, you will be promised a spot....pending you aren't bringing a car that is smashed up and painted 10 colors.

Judging will be changed for this year, and will have to be much more efficient with an addition of 40ish vehicles. There will be more judges, and there will be less involved for each judge.

Oh and to keep the suspicions at bay, noone showing judging. Right Chuck? We have always done what we felt was fair for judging. We never have judged and this year will be no different.
