The 42.5 is just coming from my sources. I dont know if they released it to the public yet or not. I know they are worried about the people of fargo, panicking.I don't think you are the type of person to make something like this up.... Are they accounting for a certain amount of rainfall to make this number? I'd have to assume they are estimating an amount of precip with the 42.5' crest.... I agree that today everyone in need is in a 'panic' mode, but if everyone is building for 40', it seems like a waste of time if the crest will topple them anyways.....
I also find it funny that the people cocking Joel and others for their flood fight concerns a week or 2 ago, are now posting flood concerns. "It floods every year and we don't give a shit that you bought a house that might flood.....here's an idea, move".....not so cocky anymore...

The Mayor said just an hour ago on the radio that the projection is 41.1'. A family friend of ours lives just across University from the old Scheels and his house is at 40'. He's had so much water in his yard already that he's been pumping nonstop since Friday.

so parker, gonna be any pp this year? i imagine there will be alot up there, i know back home we will be lucky to get half our ground in

42.5 and the city of fargo will be under.

I still think that the city should have been much more prepared...have sandbags already being made a month ago. It's common sense that it was gonna be bad this year...Think about last year. Wet/short summer (had 2 blizzards in May), super wet fall, lots of snow, and that's just knowledge we already had. Couple that with the recent precipitation and you get what we are getting into. Everybody's in a rush and a panic...All I know is that if I lived next to the river I would have been working on this stuff a month ago...Common sense City of Fargo, USE IT.

Hopefully D.Walaker (spelling i know) can pull another one out of his ass for this year and maybe finally get the funding to put up the permanent flood walls that have been getting voted down year after year.

I can think of many reasons for why they wouldn't release that info, all of which I hope are inaccurate.

Edit: we will be out by courts plus area bagging tonight. If anyone would like to add to our group of ~8, meet at tintmasters at 6:45ish. Going out to River Drive area (east of courts plus)

I would like to donate my time to those that haven't had much for support at this point. PM me an address.....
Nope, no trial periods. lol. you have to go to basic training and AIT before you can carry the guns around. I dont know if we will get to that point or not. Prolly will if Fargo gets severly flooded.

Were you expecting a 10 inch blizzard, -40 degree temps followed by 50 degree temps all within a week?
