Grand Forks Part II

Well we were told at 10pm that we were in a mandatory evacuation by 6am. Now we are told they are having a meeting with the MFD and MPD tomorrow at 8am. They told us that even though there was a mandatory evac, we should keep our pumps running. So my dad is going to stay there overnight and into the morning. We had pulled the sumps and let the patio fill with a little water right before we had got the call. we were ready to be done fighting and let the water come and all of a sudden my dad decides to keep going... jesus its gonna be one hell of a weekend...

I just exercised said evacuation with quickness. Turns out they sent it out to a neighborhood that was not involved. Good luck man!

Just insane seeing how many people are out helping. Looks like the city basically shut down just to sand bag. good job.

I dont live west of 8th, but its only about 4 blocks away, and if you guys get wet, I will most likely be getting wet(according to the maps). Flood proofed the house last night as much as possible, and checked the check valve at the sewer(greatest thing EVER!). I have a feeling this will start to get interesting real soon.
