I have been trying to follow this the best I can.

Don't Joel's parents live in that riverview area? If so, has anyone heard how they are doing over there. I seen his posts from last night about giving up, then starting the pumps back up again and staying on it.

I stopped at joels place last night but he was moving things out of the house and wasn't there. The water is very high on the house. That dike is a doosy.

only thing that worries me right now is this map of the 97 flood. how it stopped then raised 3 more feet.

                    Rising super slow.

Wait for tomorrow when it warms up and the snow up there starts to melt.

Joel's house is safe. I just spoke with him on the phone about a half hour ago. His neighbor's dike failed and they are pulling sandbags and slowly letting it fill to the contingency dike in the street. Joel and his dad sandbagged around their house so they are protected from the neighbor. They are basically playing the waiting game now.

They did a dry run with shutting down the interstate from Jamestown today. I'm sure they were testing how long it would take to completely clear it and reroute it. Theres no reason they closed it for as short as they did, only to reopen it. If we evac, it will be both sides of the road.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

My dad has the water down now. Still holding steady in Heritage Hills. Been that way since this am. Good sign for Fargo. Not sure if the other house is still making it.

Thanx Jim (63Vette) for the picture, bottom left house
