Grand Forks Part II

srsly, joel i was just looking at pics, that wall you built i didnt know how good it would hold (not there to look at it) but god damn, that thing is way better than a fucking sandbag wall. Get your camera out and document that wall really good, people could benefit from that thing and it would save alot of work with those stupid sandbags

To be honest, i was wondering if that wood would hold, but Damn! that is a peice of work. those are some monster kickers in there, did you cut through the wall in the house to tie in in places? I can understand being angry about the diking leaving you out, but it looks to have made you rise up and engineer a kick ass piece of work. Dont focus on negativity, just focus on saving your home.
Im with grr, document that and maybe ittl help others in the future. -

I believe that this system wouldnt work on any house. We have a flower box around the parameter of the whole house on the river-side that we can Lag the wall to. It also helps us that we live on a hill. I finally got a high quality walk around video thats about 4 minutes long I am uploading onto youtube right now. Our internet here sucks tho, so it will be an hour or so before its done.Goodnbuzzd;268659 wrote:

We anchored to the starting of the foundation, we went through the wal of our shed with a sawzall on the one BIG kicker under our deck, but no wall of the house have been modified. no leakage in the basement at all, and no sign of bad news. -

so aahhh... better clarify here...... is that just a regular "prediction" or a "solid prediction" ?????
I'd say its pretty solid. Especially if the snow doesnt somehow turn to rain. -
Geez Joel, did you guys need to file a building permit for that monster??? After you are done, just finish the walls and call it an addition to the house (kidding of course).
Nice work.
