July 4th weekend was made for Outlaw Drag Racing, and you'll see some of the best in the Midwest during the 23rd Annual Show & Go at Brainerd International Raceway.
You’ll see Mustangs, Chevelles, GTOs, Camaros, Chargers, Novas, Barracudas, and a host of other beefed-up muscle cars that will go head-to-head on the drag strip. Many can fly down the quarter mile in 6-7 seconds at speeds over 200 mph, cranking out the kind of horsepower that pulls the front wheels right off the ground when they launch from the starting line.
Some 400+ cars and trucks are expected to compete again this year, giving fans a dose of exciting drag racing. It's also the second leg of BIR's new three-race Outlaw Drag Racing Series, where drivers in the ultra-quick Outlaw, Pro Outlaw, King Street and Real Street classes battle for series points and a track championship.
In addition to outstanding drag racing, the Show & Go features a classic car show, where stunning show cars will be buffed up and judged in one of 28 classes. Fans will be encouraged to vote for their favorite as well. The People’s Choice Award goes to the car receiving the most votes from the fans.
An event on the Fourth of July can’t go on without a party, and BIR knows how to throw one. Fans will be treated to a spectacular fireworks display and live music by Rockfist Saturday night, as well as fun and games for kids and adults alike throughout the weekend.
It’s great family entertainment and a fantastic way to spend the holiday.
Friday and Saturday are qualifying rounds, with eliminations and finals on Sunday.

BIR to offer ICE Index Race at Show N Go
More details coming soon, but once again the ICE Index Race will be held and run as a supporting class to the FAST 5 Classes.
Anyone with cars running in the 10s to the 14s is encouraged to run this Heads-up Index class!! All indexes will once again be run on eight half second increments.
Stay tuned and please keep this class in mind when teching for SNG and deciding on what class to run! Just tell your tech person that you'd like to run the "ICE Race." If you do not know what index to run you will have time to make some laps before deciding on that.
