Again I've owned a gas 2002 Ford F150, gas 2007 Chevy Silverado, 2007 Duramax and now a 2008 Tundra, i'll take my new tundra over anyone of those.. I am more than happy with this one and it's lasted longer in the 7 months I've had it then the other ones did.Again, you must not be aware of Toyotas rusty frame issues and their buyback/crush program. 7 whole months? lol... :icon_scratch:

No thanks I will keep my 250 v-10 that has never had a single issue since the day I bought it. Last oil change was longer ago than you have owned a truck.

I like the one commercial, where they brag about copying everyone else's advancements and sticking them into their vehicles.. and how they try to make people feel unamerican by buying "imports", when they are the one's that outsource everything and giving american jobs to people in other countries while most import companies build plants here and hire american workers...My favorites were the commercials a bit ago where one of them said that they were now as reliable as one of the foreign automakers. Good Ad campaign to let everyone know you finally caught up. Or the others where the only advertise how many miles per tank the car gets, and don't say anything about MPG.
This video was pretty funny tho, he could not look any more stereotypically hillbilly with his spelling and puncuation.
Remember everyone, we better support the american car makers, since we all own them now....

bet the gas mileage on that is sweet....:icon_puke_r:11 mpg no matter what. Pulling a trailer, highway or in town... its predictable.

I get a decent discount on gas and 1 major breakdown like Toyotas have every year costs more than my lower mileage.
You have to look at the bigger picture. -
At 10,000 miles per year, gas avg price = $2.25 p/gal; my cost is still only $2,000 per year where at 22mpg you spend $1,000.
One major repair on your Toyota and its a tie. Mines gone 3 years now without a dime in repair or service so you have 3 more years of zero failure then we can discuss this again.
On the other hand, going out to eat out once a week at 30 bucks per couple comes to $1,560. So if you are really trying to save money dont eat out.

um you know if you never do maintenence regularly it always comes back to bite you in the ass... FACT

I do my own service since I dont want some 19 year old fresh out of tech school touching my vehicles. Its a fun thread anyway... stir away Bill.

it's called a warranty... usually you take advantage of it, and after it's up, get rid of it... sounds good to me

no i'm stating the hondas are slower, and that honda doesn't sponsor the drag cars. gm,saturn, mazda, toyota etc. sponsor drag cars. so naturally they will have an easier/faster time getting to that point(fastest fwd that is).
So i would think honda's would have a fighting chance if they were also cororate backed.
now i'm not 100% but i'm pretty sure honda doesn't have a drag racing team... haha most likely to busy building things that matter like F1 shit.
also look at a size of these motors that plays a huge role in it, as it always has and always will. american companies will build bigger. idk if it is because they can't product the same performance with there cars being quite bloated or if that is just how they want them to be made, lower reving torque monsters. idk!!1
but i can tell you from a tuner's perspective the k series looks more fun then a ecotec.....

He said he traded 3 vehicles and had the last for 7 months. I am thinking they were not under warranty.
If they were all new and under warranty he got raped from the depreciation on trade in.Trading in every few years is exactly what the dealerships want you to do to maximize their profit. Way to fall for it.

i'm pretty sure joe buys new
