Your Toyota is a diesel? Did your dad plug the truck in? What diesel fuel was he running? He use to have a ford, never plugged it in once, never put the bra on and started up with no problem every time... this new diesel put the right gas in (dunno which one is for winter) and no probably didn't plug it in cause you shouldn't have to plug it in, i didn't plug my toyota in and started... and where the hell did you get that my truck is a diesel?

lol, for an example look at the malibu, accord, camry, and fusion...all 09's...... funny that both the domestics get better mileage??funny that the chevy equinox also gets better mileage than the RAV-4 or the CR-V
weird the 09 cobalt (non hybrid) does better in MPG than the 09 civic (non hybrid)
or from just glancing that GM has more models that get better than 30 mpg than Honda
you get that right off their site, or just memorize the commercial sexy thang??

As much as it pains me to say this, I like my 99 Chevy 3/4 ton w/ 265,xxx miles more than I liked my 08 Tundra w/ 0 miles. Not that the Toyota wasn't a good vehicle with more than enough power and good creature comforts...the Chevy just feels more like what I think a truck should feel like. Now, for cruising around, I liked the Tundra better I also liked it better in the snow/ice. But for a "work" truck, it seemed to lack vs. the 3/4 ton....of course comparing a 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton as a work truck is a poor comparison as well.
I'll let ya know how i like pulling something with it, takin the camper to wefest so we will see how it does then...

Diesel trucks dont like to start in cold weather. I was giving you crap because you were saying that your gas toyota never gelled up. If your gas toyota was gelling up then your doing something wrong.

So from the movie in this thread you are arguing gas mileage, power to weight, and towing capacity and gasmileage of an ugly suv? Did you not watch the video? It was a cheesy and somewhat ignorant video trying to say domestic cars out perform imports in SPEED and "handling". Go read some brochures in your lobby. Do you even own a 320whp car? Do you even run it at the track? Or do you see how much gas mileage and hp/liter it can make and make ricer comments all day long? There's plenty of ppl on here that know he did...

Even with fuel additives (except Howe's which no longer is worth a damn) still need to plug in now, just fyi. What's the asking price on the truck?

LOL , I better not see any bashing on the Dmax from you import fanboys..... as it is an Izuzu

SO YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT FUEL EFFICIENCY IS NOTHING TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN BUILDING STREET CAR MOTOR? WHETHER YOUR JUST IGNORING THAT FACTOR BECAUSE ITS A "RACE CAR" OR WHATEVER THE CASE MAY BE, BEING EFFICIENT WITH FUEL IS STILL A FACTOR.
POWER TO WEIGHT IS JUST ONE COMPARISON I POINTED OUT. IGNORING POWER PER LITER ARE WE? THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT. YOUR BULLSHIT DOMESTIC COMPANIES COULDN'T MAKE A DECENT LOWER DISPLACEMENT MOTOR IF THEIR BUSINESS RELIED ON IT. WHICH IS FUNNY, BECAUSE THIS IS THE EXACT REASON THEY AREN'T SELLING ANY CARS AND GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.
AND I WOULDN'T TALK ABOUT MY CAR. MY CAR PERFORMS IN ALL CATEGORIES. I BELIEVE ON e85 COMING BACK FROM THE CITIES I GOT 32MPG. WITH 350+ HP. WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO FILL A TANK OF GAS FOR 16 DOLLARS AND HAVE IT LAST 300+ MILES? THAN HAVE IT TRACK CAPABLE FOR AN 11 SECOND PASS? OR ARE YOU TO BUSY IGNORING TO CLEAN YOUR WHITE TRASH MULLET AND TALKING SHIT TO PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW ONLINE ABOUT THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT?

Im not saying your high hp car needs good mpg, im saying that its a very poor engineering if you have to bore huge holes and throw nasty amounts of fuel just to make enough power to get out of your own way with your road boats

So, how do N/A hondas make more power? They must de-stroke their engines and take away fuel? Because adding more fuel and air in a bigger combustion chamber is only going to hinder power....

it is so obvious you have never been anywhere with alot of cool cars. Just because fargo only has 3-4 cars that have big power doesnt mean its like that all over. Take bills car, i would bet that it could knock down a minimum of 14mpg on E85, with no OD. Not bad for a car with ~1500hp. And did you ever run your mighty 350whp car? On street tires? since i doubt your gonna drive 200miles to the track on slicks, bet it would have ran SWEET high 13s. And HP/liter is the most retarded argument in history, for real it has no merit in anything. Just because some companies dont want to rev their cars to 9k, and make absolutely no power where it counts (under 4k where you are 99% of the time) doesnt mean they are inefficient. For example, take AVERAGE hp/liter under the curve, i would bet big money that a LS1/LS2 would make almost twice that of a S2000, not to mention the ability to carry 4 people and groceries. Wait, a new 430hp vette gets 30mpg? NO WAY! Did I drive my T/A (which was a POS smallblock, not a efficient LS) 140miles to BIR, run it multiple times, drive it back and still get 24.5 MPG?? I dont beleive that either.
BTW, the Ecotec is a far superior motor to hondas 4 cyl. The K comes close, and may even tie, but it is of my opinion that the Eco is still a better overall design. And i would rather pay a little more for gas to not be driving back from the cities@ 32mpg in a loud POS tin can. Ever seen one of those get hit by a pickup? theres a reason alot of people wont drive one. That and its FWD, which is FTMFL on all counts
