it says that motors were underrated...i thought they were overrated back in the muscle car days because they would take the horsepower without all the accessories and it basically skewed it...id like to see a hemi dart run 10s stock in person...im not saying its not possible but id pretty much have to see it to believe it...idk

It's damn neer impossible because of the tire technology back then. 450 hp on a 7 inch wide, hard as a rock tire isn't going to do much for traction. I have seen some older hemi's do very well with slicks, but I have never heard of one of them hitting 10's stock, unless they include dealer performance parts (headers, better heads, etc.) -

Many of the other motors from that era were overrated however.
