Racing in Canada

Not the greatest weekend ever....

• jump through hoops to get passport to cross the border

• get held up in canadian customs for an hour or so

• knock your back out of place on the pos canadian roads

• make almost a pass....

Yep, first qualifying pass.

My car made it down the track that first qual pass, but it slowed on top end, it ate up the converter also. I just got it off the car today, here is what came out.

In the video sounds like Matt lost the convertor during the burnout.
I had plans to race up there as I have some racer buddies there, How is the track surface Dave?

From my single pass, the track seemed to be decent. My converter must have been weak from the get-go, it didn't 60' all that great but I don't think it was wheel slippage, just wasn't transferring power to the wheels.

Oh, they had four Top Fuel Harleys there. Those guys are just insane. They launch moderately hard, but then about 100-150' out the clutch starts locking up and the front wheel comes off the ground. The front wheel never touches the track again until they let off the throttle. Nuts!

We had the Gimli track on the schedule twice this year. Next year we'll let you know when we are going. Make sure to get your passport!
