As far as show goes, the Greddy is far from a flashy kit. Harwood you got a lot of things to learn about forced induction. The Greddy kit is not going to net you better than low 15's on 5.5 psi. To get that thing into the 12's your gonna need 200+whp. W/ that TD04/5 you're gonna need to push 12+ psi. Boost is not what kills motors, amateurs w/ poor tuning blow motors. I got my hatch right now between 12-14 psi and its going strong. Lastly my car gets 40mpg on the highway!!

I know its poor tuning that kills a motor, i am not going for really flashy either, and i know i will be pushing high wmounts of boost to get into the 12's.

BTW: hell ya on the 40mpg

I had a guy call me the other day for a manifold and he's pushing 25-30 psi on stock sleeves.

the main reason why i am going for the greddy kit is so i have money to do the body work i am going to do. I personally think the greddy kit looks good under the hood. Plus i wouldnt need to upgrade the fuel system right away and all that other stuff. running 12's would be close to the end of the summer.

BTW: who can tune emanage around here?

Tuning is very critical but there's a few cheap little tricks you can do to have stock sleeves live.

ANY kit can look good under the hood of a car harwood....did you ever see nicks white integra....that engine was clean as hell!!.........and knowing you once you get this greddy kit...you car still wont be fast enough for you...you can run 5.5 psi on a SLS kit...its called a MBC.....have it tuned at that for however long you want...then turn the boost up and get it tuned again!!!....because your never gonna break 12's with a greddy kit unless you buy the most expensive one that comes with everything and cost around 5-6k.

ur all wasting your time. I can almost guarantee that there will be no turbo under the hood of that car. Harwood is so undecisive, his plans change every week.

i know my plans have been changing alot, but this is actually going down. I have the money and i will definatelly do this if everyone keeps saying its not going to happen.

also my plans were not to turbo this civic because i was going to get troys hatch, but when my rents just give me one of their old cars to use as a winter car plans change.

Nick what can you set up for a turbo kit for around 2000-2500?

i am just wondering what he can set up for a kit, if i will need to be other shit too than i wont go with the sls kit. I can get the greddy kit for my civic(they only make one for it) for $1500 shipped plus $500 for the PRofec E-01 Programmer & Boost controller. and than eventually upgrade the fuel system and get a FMIC and BOV.

torbs and i were just trying to express our opinion on the SLS kit versus the Greddy kit, as fellow enthusiasts we would hate to see you spend your money and be disappointed, i don't know anyone that has the greddy kit but i do know that Nick had great success with his and if you go with that you have the support for it right here in town, plus you would be pumping money into one of our great local vendors. Just expressing opinion just like everyone else, in the end it is your choice, just our .2$. Peace
