no we don't run the CR rotor machines, we run the CX walker machines

we drop alot of straw and cut alot of wet grain running alot of tough straw through the machine; The conventional machines are better suited

CX and CR machines are identical aside from the actual thresher, cleaning system and everything else is the same

your telling me, I hate pulling into a full section when i am seeding, with one air seeder

Most of our land is farmed either as a full section or half section..... yes easy to get alot done, but it is intimidating pulling into a field

            .
It is different worlds from here to there....... you guys spin from mud..... I spin pulling hills....... Pics dont do justice to the actual grade of the land

dry land when seeding, pulling a 42' disk drill..... which I can pull super easy on flat land

I helped some friends in the southwest harvest earlier this year. Working fields that were a full section tall was ridiculous... i was the cart driver. The cutters would get full at the north end of the field, the semis were parked at the south end. Blah.

We had a cat 670b they were trying out, 35ft header on it.

Some of the hills the tractor i was driving couldn't make in C or D range.. even empty.

                          right.

the cart tractor was a deere 4640, the cart was probably 800-900 bu (it could unload all 3 combines)

They were also running Deere 9600 and 9610 combines. I don't know about the headers.

oh a 4640 will probably pull 800bu but it sure won't like it and it'll be even angrier if you start up a hill. I've pulled a Brent cart with wet corn running over on each side (right around 750-800bu) with a 4650 - just don't make real good time, steer with the brakes, and pucker up the first bump you hit. They finally stepped up to an 8200 a couple years ago and now this year will be pulling it with a smaller 4WD JD (9x00?).

That is of course assuming they ever get done with soybeans. I'm trying to save up some PTO so I can spend time in the semi hauling wet corn again but the way the weather is looking they might be combining the corn in the spring.

oh a 4640 will probably pull 800bu but it sure won't like it and it'll be even angrier if you start up a hill.

I'm trying to save up some PTO so I can spend time in the semi hauling wet corn again but the way the weather is looking they might be combining the corn in the spring.

yeah, the engine will pull it, it will be a load, thats for sure, but it will pull it. but thats not what i would be worried about. what i am worried about is the draw bar. the amount of weight that is put on the draw bar that it wasnt designed for is immense. like we tell all of our workers, we would rather have the combine have to slow down or stop, rather than bust a draw bar and have to have the tractor down until we can replace it. so we make sure all of our workers slow the fuck down in a rough spot and if they are heavily loaded, just take it easy, we will understand if they are late getting back to the combine

the combines were a 9600, 9610, and a 670b, which have hoppers of 240, 240, and ~300 bu. The cart could take all 3 combines, full.
