Thanks.
And yes I'm the Chip from ByteSpeed.
I am on a number of other car forums and have run into this problem.
I have posted pictures only to have people dismiss them by saying they could be anybodys cars.
Frankly, I don't care enough to debate the truthfulness of my statement other than to provide this gallery on a BMW forum I'm a member of:http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/album.php?albumid=1532
If people choose not to believe me I'm not going to worry about it because it doesn't change the fact I have (or have had) the vehicles I listed.
I'm just here to share my impressions.Bimmerpost.com is an amazing site.
HUGE amounts of info/a great community

I have mixed feelings about it. I had it in my M6 too. It seems cool at first but after awhile it just kind of fades from my notice. I much prefer all the performance readings the GTR pumps out.I had the opportunity to drive a m6 this summer and thought the same thing in the 3 mins that I drove it.... You don't even notice it!!!
I can imagine after a few weeks of having the car you would totally forget about it...
Its cool though!
Does the x6m still deliver that "BMW M car feel" that other M's deliver?? (The connection to the road/car)
Beings that its their first M-SAV... I have reason to be skeptical about it all...

As much as I would like to say the X6M has the feel of an M3 I'd be lying if I did. Its a great performing SUV. It has no serious rival in that segment, not even a Turbo S, but its certainly not an M3. Having said that, I don't think M6s and M5s are that nimble either. My X6M is a great GT car alternative. If you want practicality, straight line speed, and better handling than other SUVs it is brilliant. If you want to a practical track car that can be used as a DD stick to the M3.
I do, though, think the M badge was appropriate. It's a serious piece of performance machinery that is a cut above the rest in the SUV segment.
