gaming for kids

Dave, you have 2 girls and the Wii is going to be way more geared to games that THEY would enjoy playing. I have a 360 and ps3. Both have their advantages as well as the Wii. If it was up to me buying for your 2 daughters solely, it'd be the Wii. I will own one soon.

I've seen plenty of xboxs break... I've only seen one PS3 break, and the kid that had it was kinda dumb anyways, so that probably played into the fact...You're misinformed. I see more PS3's these days then I do 360's.
BluRay Diodes burn out
PS3's GPU (RSX) Chip has the exact same problem as Xbox 360's (Red Lights)The real question is, how many people have PS3's that you know compared to Xbox 360's.
Anyway... back on topic.
Wii or Xbox 360 for the kids. I'd lean towards the Wii since they are younger. Accessories for the Wii are quite a bit cheaper as well, however, like 90% of the Wii games are absolute junk. You'll def. want to rent games before buying them.
