from what i read quickly you shouldn't need a new dizzy.
    http://crx.honda-perf.org/articles/z6swap/z6swap.html

that article is for a z6 head, but basically the same;they don't mention a dizzy swap in there

what do you plan to use for engaging vtec?
also, from what i've read somewhere, i heard vtec doesn't respond well to boost.
it may be worth checking that out before doing the mini-me

Thats a lot of good information, for some reason some one told me that the z6 head would not bolt up to my a6 block.

I was planing on using a tach with a shift light for engaging vtec, or a cheeper method.

I have always been told vtec is just fine for boost, but its the compression that you have to watch out for.
My compression is 9.1.1. and this will bring it down to 8.1.1. ( If I did my math right ) Perfect for boost.

http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/D.htm compression calculator and loads of other info (i think your math is off also)

the shift light idea will work and is probably around the cheapest.

also, hondaswap.com has alot of info if you haven't found it yet

np; i've spent many hours trying to figure out how to get more power out of my d-series; i'm too cheap to buy a swap :).
i'm also going to turbo my car, eventually :). first in line is the head gasket and MPFI swap.

Hey we are in the same boat, cool. I would like to see your coupe this summer!

By the way that head will raise my compression to "9.955900714787138" Unless I get the dual layer d16z6 head gasket. Heh heh my math was way off, Lol.

actually i sold the coupe back in oct. and picked up an 88 civic sedan for $50.
hope to put a junkyard turbo setup on it soon, i have pretty much everything except a dizzy, intake mani, BOV, and other little things.

Ahh So are you planing making a log manifold out of a cx header? I'm going to be doing things like that to save money on my turbo upgrade.

$50 bucks is a damn good price for that car, 4 doors are cool looking. Wait is it burgundy colored and you got it off of 10th street fargo? If so its the car I planed on picking it up but some one nabbed it two or three days ago.
