I am looking for an audio shop that can look a tthe system in my friends 99 Infiniti G20T and tell him what it needs to sound normal, and not tinny/quiet.

We have checked everything and all the settings, but have had no luck. It just sounds really wierd. Not good.

    Any suggestions? thank you!

I can look at it. What all is done with the system? Is it factory or aftermarket? If aftermarket, what has been done to it? 701.541.3484

Just has a pioneer headunit, and alpine type S speakers. Stock wiring, no amp, no sub.

make sure that one of the speakers isn't hooked up backwards (out of phase). That would give it a "nasal" sound and would definitely hurt the bass/midbass aspects. Can also try sealing the doors (I'm assuming that is where the type-s speakers are installed) with sound deadening material (Hushmat, Dynamat, Raamat, etc...) that would help with the lower frequency extension as well as help eliminate some of the "tinny" noise from the sound wave vibrating the metal.

Or, it's possible that the speakers/deck is defective. Did it ever sound right and/or when did he first notice it sounded wrong? So many variables to consider.
