Air Bag Suspension

air bag suspension is REALLLY easy to install....i've seen it done without even a lift...and the guy was a idiot....so i'm sure the guy could do it himself if you really wanted to.

its on a 90's style explorer....he wants to put 20's on and bag suspension, and then he's guessing he will have to customize the wheel wells to make it fit.depends how low he's planning on going. If he's planning on going down to the frame then yeah (which will probalby mean a lot of custom work elsewhere as well. betting it's not even possible with that front suspension setup), otherwise I doubt he'll be getting into the sheet metal with only 20s.

he could bag it, and put 20's on with no work...but if he wants to go real low yeah he'll have to cut the fenders, fab the wheel wells and all sorts of shit.

it would be easy to just put the suspension on...but if he does want to DROP it to the frame...just tell him NO

Is it a 4x4? I dont know if they even made 2wd exploders.
I think dakota customs in bismarck does a lot of air bags. That might be a place to look.
If he has the skills and would like to do it himself, first thing I would do is rip off the front suspension and find a mustang II or some superride type front suspension.
Then for the rear most likely would have to go with some type of 2 or 4 link. I would recommend a 4 link and he would most likely have to have the bags over the axle. But if he went the 2 link way look for a heavy duty 2 link and mounth the bags outboard of the frame rails onto the 2 link.
Up front Im sure hell have to remove the inner fenders and probably move some engine controls. He can either run without fenders wich isnt really good up here, or make some new inner fenders out of motorcycle fenders or trailer fenders.
In the back he'll have to notch the frame Im sure and cut up the inside to make a bridge cover and new wheel wells.
Just make sure whatever he does, he doesnt cheap out on the components he uses cause you will end up paying more to do it over then.
