Deadly crash on University & 1-94

anyone know more info. Cops have been there all night suveying to reconstruct what happened. Had to be gonig fairly quick to lay skid marks as far as he did. Wonder what will happen if they figure out racing was involved and they catch the other driver.

I also heard he was drag racing and the excessive speed mentioned was around 110-120 mph when he crashed. This IS just hearsay so don't take my word for it.

I was wondering why there were a bunch of candles burning on the east side of the underpass like 10 minutes ago. I had to double take at that one.

I saw the mess when i was going to work this morning around 5 am. A bunch of police cars had the underpass blocked off and there was a mangled ball of metal the size of a couch. Doesn't surprise me that he was pronounced dead at the scene...shit looked nasty.

I didn't get a good look at it, but it almost looked like the car was tore in half. there are scuff marks like 10 - 15 feet up on the adjacent pillars. There is no doubt he was hauling some ass the skid marks start right about the north side of the traffic lights for the i-94 off ramp down the street across the curb/median and into the first pillar on the northbound side of the uni underpass. Darwin has been out in force the past week. :icon_blackeye: Play stupid games win stupid prizes. :icon_shaking:

Two different accidents. The one last night was all cleaned up when I came home at 10:15pm.

there was another 4 cars involved this morning at 730. 2 at the underpass then 2 more at 19th just down the road. Traffic was backed up forever i guess.

scratch that 5 cars...caused by people going too fast and following too close when someone stoped at at red light.

just in case you didn't read it has been 2 years since the last death in the city and we now have 5 in 4 different crashes in 3 weeks....im scared to drive come first snow/ice.

Yeah, it's crazy out there. Last week I saw a pizza delivery guy smash his van on the I-94 bridge over going over the Red River. He was hauling ass as traffic was slowing down so he hit the concrete instead of rear ending a car, it was kind of funny.

i had a rear ender happen last thursday 10 ft from me on 8th st in moorhead.it was loud as shit.. i was in a turn lane, and of course traffic was backed out because everyones trying to get to the interstate and dont expect traffic to be all the way back.

just because moorhead doesnt believe in cloverleaf on ramps
