Completely agree with you! We just want to promote the sport at an affordable price as long as possible. I appreciate everyone's appeal for a higher price...makes us know we are doing as good of job as possible, for a fair price!

      QFT!

I hope to make at least one.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

i think this is reasonable as long as there is a gaurnteed number of runs. I came a couple years ago, paid the 35$ and got to run twice due to the exclusive "bike runs" they did back then. Obviously there would have to be a time cutoff, as you couldn't show up 10min before dark and expect a refund, but if you could figure out some sort of number of runs guaranteed then i would say go ahead and charge more for racing...

Lol @ bike runs. Lol @ $45 being too much.

        35 is a steal. 45 is a bargain.

What, exactly, in your opinion, is the correct amount of 'guaranteed' runs?

Apparently you never ran on a bracket weekend in the past.

you know what, i didn't ever run on a bracket weekend. What i was trying to provide was a little feedback from the exact kind of person that TM and Top End are trying to attract. I was there in my pretty much stock TII RX7 and it left a bad taste in my mouth being able to run only twice. I haven't been back since. They want to build up the local community and industry and be able to race twice for your cash would make most people a little frustrated with the whole thing.

I have never seen anyone complain about not being able to make passes at a TM event. Christian makes 10+ passes (maybe more like 20.. heh) and you cant get 3?
            Help me understand...

heath since that time you ran your RX7, things have changed and we got the bike/car running thing fixed.(well at least i think we did.)

Heath, that problem is fixed now. However, I do agree with keeping it affordable for all. not everybody spends a lot of cashola on beer/weed/pizza on any given weekend. And there is plenty of people that have to drive an hour just to get there on top of paying to get in. With the prices of gasoline going up the way they are, keeping it reasonably affordable is paramount to making sure you get as much interest and attendance as possible.

For those that think they should charge more, by all means, give a lil extra to the new owner in support of his new track.

I remember the days of hotlapping to 25+ passes in my old car. Shitty brakes gave up and I kept pushing through the lights trying to come up against the converter. 187HP of fury.

But yeah, the days I was out with the Cobra last year I did 6-10 and the first time I packed it up and went home at 2.

Wes, I understand where you are coming from, but what services DON"T go up in price as their costs go up too? Not many take into consideration the cost to operate the track. I'm sure Chuck would love to have a lower cost on his traction compound, energy costs, gasoline for all the track machines, compensation for track employees, etc............but, he doesn't. His costs go up, but everyone expects the cost to run at the track to never change.

I am in disbelief when people shake their head at proposed increase of $5 or so in entry fee.

I hope everyone remembers that kind of thing if the track ever closes due to operating costs.
