Not hating on you Freitag, but maybe the cop pulled up your previous record, or had seen you previously driving. ...i wouldn't be surprised if that's whyy they did it.

i got pulled over tonight for not using my blinker when getting on to the interstae off of 45th street, i know i should have got pulled over if i didn't cut some one off, but there was no one behind me. and the gayest part of it all it they gave me a fucking $60 ticket for improper lane change. HOW FUCKING GAY!!!!!!!!!! had to vent.i don't feel like reading through 3 pages of whining about cops, but this is more than likely a non-legit ticket. why? i don't believe you have to signal when going onto the interstate, because the lanes merge and you have no choice but to merge. might want to check the "rules of the road" book, but i would go point that out to someone that can do something about it (assuming that i really am right).

^^^ you have to use a blinker anytime you pull into a different lane no matter what, its just another case of car profilingHow is it car profiling when he has a common looking car that does not stand out compared to anyone elses. The cop probably would have pulled over a Tauras for doing the same thing

no cop that knows what is good for him will pull over a taurus

ok well excuse me I didnt know what his car looks like, thought I read somewhere earlier that he had an exhaust or some other type of mod, but he still had to use a blinker
he does have an exhaust and you are probably right the cop heard it and then noticed he had a reason to pull him over -
it doesn't help that the cop was the car right behind me!

Cops here suck ass, I lost my license for some dumb shit that I own up to. I had to bike for a year as my pennance, no big deal. Until I almost get hit by 2 officers in the same summer when I had the walk sign. One was trying to get thru a green arrow that was long gone.

Time to run my mouth a little, You guys need to advertise to more classic/muscle cars, most people in here are Tuners and that's a turnoff for us. Is this a club or a gang? I've seen you in the walmart parking lot and it kinda looks like a bunch of punk kids(I just glanced). I heard about it and remembered coming out of the lot that you guys meet there. It just kinda gives off a bad vibe to the classic car guys and a lot of other people too. I heard people at work complaining about the punk kids there, I'd have to say clean up the image, make it more car showy, more organized that cars in a circle or a bunch. That kinda stuff is what draws the cops, and cops do profile cars. all the time, they also run your plates for records like mine and will do anything to pull us over. That's any mods on a car, not just imports, believe me, I know. CCr stands for Classic Car. I am not a Ricer fan, but I wanted to give some advice that I feel may help. I'll restrain myself from the dumb ass comments for now. But certain driving styles do get on my nerves. As do big spoilers and exhaust. I'm not rich, neither are mnost of you. Sorry about the long post, just running my mouth. Catch up with the replies later.

So if we park prettier, and dress nicer we'll attract the Classic Car crowd? I speak for myself, but who gives a shit. If you guys have hang ups on coming and taking to us, it's your problem not ours. I don't wanna come off as a jack ass or anything, as I would like it if the two intermingled, but I don't feel asking us to change is fair.
However, I do agree with you that mostly people just drive stupid when they get in big groups, or go crusing.

I said look more organized so the PUBLIC doesn't think your a bunch of jackasses. Which that did come off as. Pretty parking is not a requirement. Not asking to change at all, making a suggestion. Who wants to roll up on a bunch of punks? No one, that's what I said the group looks like when you park that way. Specifying that's what it looks like, not what you are. Not picking a fight here. Seeing how well you take to suggestions. Testing the waters, know what I mean? The car hobby already has a bad name, We should all try to improve it.

I'm usually out there with them, and I don't think I qualify as a "punk kid", neither does Weshole, Stephen Bradley, RE-Enema, etc...... So the problem must be that we don't park all nice and organized w/ 3.38' of space between each car and our front bumpers all lined up w/ the front of the yellow lines...that pisses me off too... Seriously, if you came over and talked to us you'd probably realize that (most) of us respect the roots of motorsports, which is arguably musclecars. It seems that some people get so stuck on the past that they can't embrace the technology of the present. That's where the problems arise. IMHO if we got the same respect for our cars as we give for classic muscle there would be no problem. However, I will be the first to stand in line and DEFEND my car of choice...also, I'm usually the guy that makes wise-ass comments like "my car makes more torque than your truck" when the guys in the Chevy Silverados and Ford F150's feel they must rev/burnout when they go by us....I'm kind of an ass that way.

Chuck is right, you would be surprised if you were to stop and talk to us.

I didn't mean to turn this thing completely around, and I don't want you to make us out as being completely defensive, or whatever.... but honestly, just swing in and talk next time you see a group. You'd realize we're a nice laid back, appreciative croud. Maybe a different age group, but we all have the same love for cars.

Maybe a different age group, but we all have the same love for cars.I met "Bluejays" last weekend when I was out and about in town Saturday night. I think he was the only person from this forum not to goto Grand Forks cruisin... and anyways I ended up following him over to the K-Mart lot and hanging out for a couple minutes. If he is a typical representative for the group, then I would say you have a nice group of car people.
I have car buddies anywhere from about 16 - 50+ years of age... I don't think age has much to do with anything. I know some 40 year olds that are a lot more cocky then some 16 and 17 year olds.
I don't even see the whole import vs muscle car thing anymore... spending 5+ years racing the brackets at BIR kind of changes your view on that. The "import" crowd is just as cool to chat with as the "muscle car" crowd.
