Daly, Please inform us that don't know, what is the point of converting, are the parts Higher performace? Is it Just for looks? I know if you convert a '66 hardtop into a GT it is still a conversion and the vin will show such, therefore not bringing GT price for the vehicle. Just curious.
-
Ok, the point of doing a JDM conversion is almost like any others....except it has an excoticness to it. Just to get an actual JDM Integra over here may run upwards of $35-50K, therefore making it harder to actually get on here since you have to replace some other parts with legal ones to make it meet US safety specs. As far as I know, there is only 1 actual JDM Integra in the US and it is in Cali. So doing this conver is similar to doing a base to a GT, except costs a shit load more and is more exotic. As for the performance aspect, yes, some things are a higher performing "enhancer". As for this car, the stock brembo brakes, sportier suspension, higher performing engine (as far as i know, just an even higher compression), and some parts that are lighter in weight like the aluminum lower control arms up front.

Hey welcome... love the car, one of my favorites by far!
-
Sweet ride man. JDM will look good too. Have fun and welcome to the street.

This is the previous owner of the car. Just to add a few things. Some of the JDM parts took me along time to find. And some took a very long time to arrive since they came factory direct. The only JDM part that I bought used was the steering wheel. I went with the Rotora front big brake kit and rear rotors simply because I didn't feel like spending the $3500 it would have cost to replace parts of the front suspension and buy the JDM Brembros.
I was looking into the JDM Blue seats and door panels but they are very hard to find. The only time that I saw them on EBay I didn't have the money to pick them up. I had all the JDM Pedals on order but they never came in so watch out if you order anything for JHPUSA.com, BAD Customer service. I had the Type R badges and the side stickers but decided not to put them on since many people take offense to putting Type R badges on a car that will never be a real Type R. I agree totally with that.
If you want a complete list of JDM and other mods on the vehicle just ask there may be a few that you haven't noticed, in fact I guarantee it.

Ive got new pictures on my website. Go and check them out!!!

Are those HIDs or just hyper white bulbs?
-
I have never seen any hyper whites actually get this bright and nice white.....They are real Vision HID's, looking between two of the photos, you can see the starting up color, purplish blue, and the final color after it has warmed up....more of a whiteish blue. I got them through shane at tintmasters awhlie ago through a group buy.
-
Those are very nice. By any chance you know the K rating?
-
I believe that they are around a 6000K.
-
Mine are 6000k and they are a blue/purple
HID brightness is usally like this
3000k Yellow
4000k Bright white/yellow
5000k Bright White
6000k blue/purple
8000k Crystal blue
10000k Deep blue
12000k Deep purpleMost audis and benzes come with 6000k, my car came with 6000k, S2000s come with 4000-4500k. If yours are really bright white then they are most likely 5000k HIDs.

I dont know, no matter how much they do to those cars, it still is a ford, and isn't a Honda. This comment was an accidnet waiting to happen being you are converting your car to jdm right down to the dip stick.
If you are making this comment in reference to the styling of most current ford products, I think that just about any fomoco looks as good as the box on wheels that is the 3094894 gen honda civic.
If you are making this comment in reference to the permformance aspect of most current ford products, I think just about any fomoco can squeak off a 17 second quarter mile just like most hondas.
