Guys....lets not forget....checkers on your paintjob add like 250 whp doesnt it? He's probally right. Better watch out tufte, burgess, and smith. You guys need to add some decals and maybe you guys can all race

6-bolt bottom-end can handle around 550-600hp. It has been proven several times with John Shepard, Al Blaha and Tym Swyzter. Al Blaha ran 10.5 at 132 with stock bottom end, sans 2g pistons. Motor was never pulled from the car. This was with a Red and HKS 272 cams. 1g intake manifold and hacked 1g MAS.
7-bolts can't handle as much but it also depends on the application. Russ Coxe is running low 10s with a T72 and NOS and he's still running a 7-bolt. He's also an Automatic too though. As for a 10-sec or better 7-bolt.....it might, but not for long.

ohhh man...pretty sure only ur car would add 250 whp if u added checkers...my car HAD checkers....Took them off as soon as i got the car...so MAYBE...JUST MAYBE will the 4g63 block handle more than 400 HP...but running 30 psi....that alot of pressure on your engine.....and then with spray...thats even more ....no possible way he had all stock internals...he probably did when he first got the bigger turbo and the spray...then he took his car out...hit the spray and ther went his whole damn engine.....and if im not mistaken....when u rebuild a engine...maybe you dont but most people replace everything....so that woould mean...no more CRANKWALK!!!!!!!!!!.....now go get ur 1994 grand prix...and race my grandma...because im sure u could keep up wit her.

replace everything all you want, but at the end of the day if you're still running a 7-bolt, it can still crankwalk.... trust me I know from experience

DSM 101...
Looking like 530whp shutting down early @ 7500RPM. Stock pistons, stock rods, stock crank. Setup still runs today in another car. I just lost interest in the car. Setup would have easily made 550+ on that pull.
But yeah do some research before you tell people what can and cant be done especially if you haven't done it yourself, because some people have!!!

hey just cause i daily drive a grand prix doesnt mean i dont know a thing or 2 about cars...and nice come back because ya know i was cocking off about my car right?...oh yeah maybe i have another car...ever think of that? this is not really the area to be telling people what can and cannot be done with a dsm.

ok, i think we've made our point that he's a bit foggy on what the 4g63 has done in the past. keep in mind, my block is still stock, i'm going to try beating nick's 530 run...
however, what you didn't add is that nick's head is still stock (except cams?) , and the intake is a magnus, made for daily driving AND freaky top end -
I'd like to know where this kid is pulling his random hp numbers from that his car is making now?

Well he lost the power now...no more checkers....you drive a WRX....stop wasting ur money and get a STI.....everything i have researched on DSM's have said the stock blocks only handle 400 whp ...my car hasnt had that much power so i have no experience to see if it actually would blow the engine or what would happen so i figured all the research i have done on them have only handled 400 whp ....so thats where i got it from...even mitsu motors says 400whp...and yeah maybe PSIedTSI has another car....but you talk up everyone elses cars like their yours so thats why i had to make that comment.

thats the only reason i "talked up" other peoples cars...you asked and i told you bottomline...oh and most of the decals people have are of area shops or internet performance shops not ricey decals...sorry just had to be said...i dont hate you just dont speak until you know and youll be fine -
yeah decals are ricey...but to me they make a car look better....other than just a stock painted car unless you have ur car with custom paint...so until i can afford to get custom paint...i'll keep my decals on.
