So what's everybody listening to?

Me? I'm a metal guy, I will on occasion listen to hip-hop or electronica.

My current list.

Metal: CKY(one of my favorites),HIM,Slipknot,Static-X,Killswitch Engage, S.O.A.D.,Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Mudvayne, Lamb fo God, ect..ect. Any thing heavy except some of the outragousely fast death metal, it just doesn't appeal to me.

Hip-hop: Mosylt older stuff, Beastie Boys, Dre, Snoop, Eminem. Very little of the newer stuff out there has caught my attention.

Electronica/Electronic based: Crystal Method, Daft Punk, Midless Self Indulgence,NIN,KMFDM, I'll try anything except like with my metal, None of the super fast german xtasy rave shit.

Being the weird married guy I am I listen to a pretty wide range which includes what ichibankilla mentioned. All depends on the mood I'm in but it can range from metal, alt, rock, classical down to certain types of folk music including some stuff by Nickel Creek. My Electonic stuff includes Crystal Method, Paul Oakenfold and others. At work lately I've been into more guitar/piano based stuff but the changer in the car is playing Pearl Jam right now.

If I could extend the question...what do you use to listen/manage your music collection? I've been using iTunes to manage my music collection for about a year now. I'm sure some of you have more but I'm currently sitting at over 2,700 songs which is good for over 7 days of music and takes over 13GB of space on my Linux box. It takes about 5 hours to back it all up to tape!

Nu-Metal and old school metel (i.e. Metallica). Little bit of rap here and there...but def. rock/nu-metal are my fav. Can't wait til we get some more bands at Playmakers (best venue i think...small, decent ticket price, and good bands). My fav. band right now (as far as new bands go) is prolly Scars of Life. They are from Ft. Lauderdale and have some kick ass stuff. Check em out if you like the nu-metal thing. Yup.

hondagirl just made me remember a local act. Probably one of the best rappers on the scene, underground or mainstream. And his choice to stay underground just reinforces the fact that he's also one of the most ginuine rappers around.
