Once Again...Cops Suck
-
So tonight after the BBQ we were out cruisin and i get pulled over and get a seat belt ticket because the sherrif doesnt know if harnesses are legal or not. He is doing research tho to find out (so he says). He said that i could have gotten a MODIFIED VEHICLE ticket and had 2 points against me and a $20 fine instead of the 1 point no fine seatbelt ticket.

holden, stop it. we all know that cops like to harass people that don't deserve it, it gets kind of annoying when every single week i see the phrase "cops suck... again", i'm not trying to diss you or piss you off or anything, but we don't need to beat the dead horse, allright?

w/ those chains...it probably is illegal!
-
why do you have harnesses in the first place?

that's sad...
anything short of imprisonment is getting off easy...
Get in an accident with that harness harwood, lets see just how much good it does you.

I agree. I would have ticketed you just for that damn fucking chain. That is gay.
Do it right or don't do it at all. Stock seat belts are great when your car makes 92 whp.

:giggles:so I did some reading after talking to a buddy. site we pulled up doesn't say mounting it like that is "wrong" (that's not refering to the ghetto chain mess), but I still don't think I'd do it. Heard enough arguments about spinal crompression/crush injuries from mounting the shoulder belts too far below the shoulder level.
not to mention, by the looks of it there, there's absolutely nothing holding the belts on top of the seat.
I'll stand by my previous thoughts...
imprisonment. -

There is nothing safe in the way it is mounted. Harnesses are meant to be mounted to HARNESS BARS.

only thing he's missing is duct tape really...ya know, at the very least if you were planning to run a harness that mounts in that style, buy a harness designed for that!
and yeah, stock seatbelts are fine for anything I plan on doing any time soon. (unless I suddenly start running 11s or take up serious auto-x)

I dont even see why people would want 5 point harnesses in a slow ass car. I have them in mine and they are a fucking pain in my ass and uncomfortable to drive in.

Only reason I'd want them in my slow ass car would be to keep my fat ass planted on an auto-x course. -
plus it would wrinkle gsr's purty roadsounds shirt

They discontinued the long strap style because it streches too much in accidents, this is how it is to be mounted if there is no harness bar, i have done my research on this. It is to be mounted using a chain so it will not strech if it is being mounted to the rear of the car.

it looks gay and retarded...and your car is slow as fuck....i can pedal my huffy faster than that car....and my huffy doesnt even need a seatbelt!
