Crower spring and retainer kit and cam??

I just finished putting Crower springs and Ti retainers in the race engine. Seems to be good quality stuff. Compressing the springs to get the retainers and keepers in was a royal pita tho.

sweet, i will let you know, i'm thinking of trying to get a loan and then rebuild my motor, and put a little more beefed up shit in it because i have a problem with high reving my car when i deside to speed. plus it's nice to have alittle more power too.

how much do you guys think it would cost to rebuild a d16??

I had the Crower springs and retainers in my tally whacker, they worked great. I know a guy from the cities that used Crower cams in his DSM and they screwed up, don't know if it was just a rare quality issue or what.

well i have heard the crower cams on dsm aren't very good. quality issues i think, but i don't know about there honda stuff or valvetrain stuff.

well you better decide what you wanna do cause you will want to do very different c/r pistons depending on if you're going to go with n/a or forced induction

Crower is kick ass for valve springs and retainers, but I heard the cams suck wang. didnt tufte go through like 3 sets of cams in his talon?

I've heard nothing but good things about the crower cam for hondas... also people have good luck with the skunk2 cams.

Crower seems to be the most popular cam for the focus. See a lot of guys using them and havent heard much complaint about them at all. You will find a lot of Zetec guys using them... no SVT guys because the SVT cams are still being worked on. So best bet is to check out Zetec forums... if you wanna ask them about their cams.
