This "long list of mods" accusation is coming from individuals who happen to own bone stock cars.
put your flag away...ass.

your a dick, hows ur tranny?

I cant complain. I dont exactly drive an STI, but life could be alot worse....I could still be waiting for my blow off valve. The last I checked you couldnt beat the getrag, even with a poopy third gear....whos the biatch now?

imprezawrxsti.com is my friend, i've read stories that blowoff valves on the sti hurt the performance of it and actually slows it down. plus my launch was at like 4200 so it sucked.

Those are the basic bolt on's for any DSM. Being a DSM i wouldn't consider that a large mods list @ all.agreed as well. being as i only have full exhaust, upgraded exhaust manifold, 190lph fuel pump, mbc, bigger injectors, afc and free mods... i can see where nick is coming from. i think it should be looked at as a relative statement

Hey Kirk, you might want to check into these sites as well for Subaru information.www.nasioc.com
www.wrxhackers.com
www.i-club.com
www.scoobymods.com
www.projectwrx.comAnd yes, in many cases switching to a non-recirculating BOV can in fact hurt the performance of cars that were designed to run with them. In the case of the WRX it can hurt performance by as much as 6 HP. IMHO the only time you NEED to switch BOV's in a subaru is after you replaced the turbo w/ one that is capable of more boost (above 18 psi or so the stock one starts leaking like crazy). Of course, for some people the PSSSSHHHHHH sound is worth 6 HP of loss.

ding ding well said, after removing my ricer TXS RFL I noticed significant performance increase especially between shifts since Im not dumping fuel and running momentarily rich.
-
I had to replace my BOV for times when I run 24 psi. I am still looking into an aftermarket one that will recirculate back to the intake. I got the TXS one because it was readily available in town when I needed one.
-
Thanks Nick, I honestly for the life of me couldn't remember who made the recirculated bov. I must be getting old.
-
As can the HKS super sequential w/ recirc kit.
