I have a fairly old G-Tech that I've always used to test differences between mods on a car. It's no replacement for the track or timeslip of course and I'm not quite ready to run my new car at the track just yet (next year for sure) but I am wondering how accurate this one is.

I'm looking for someone who has a known (timeslip available) low 16 or high 15 second car willing to do a couple of G-Tech runs to see what you get. I'd like to see the difference between your track time and what the G-Tech says. Right now my best is a [email protected] and a 0-60 of 7.37. This seems a bit too good to be true for a 3400lbs car putting ~168HP to the wheels.

    PM me if you're interested.

you'd have to have someone make the pass on the track to have an accurate comparison (hell, weather alone has made over a half second difference in my times)

BUT, I do have a buddy that HAS run a good comparison and his Gtech was 0.2 off of the timeslip.

Maybe it'd work better if I test mine against that one at the same time.

that buddy is way up in N. MN.....

if I make it out to the track again this year, I'll let you know. Can throw it in my car if nothing else and match it to a timeslip....

aight... yeah, I'm going to try and make some more runs in the cool weather... so assuming it doesn't snow within 2 weeks (cringe) ....

(hrm, looking at schedule, doesn't look like I"ve got much time..... damn)

(might shoot for the 11th-12th weekend assuming I get my camping gear out of my car before then)

Just got back from another G-Tech run, missed the 0-60 time trying to hit the 2-3 shift but I ran a 15.77 while bouncing off the rev limiter, 15.5? and finally a [email protected]. That's 3 tenths better than last fall. Only thing to change is mileage from 1000 to 11900, me thinks my engine is finally broken in 🙂 Can't wait to run it at the track!
