            so did the hood latch not work or do CF hoods have a tendency to break the latch too? I know fiberglass hoods aren't to be trusted, just figured CF would be strong enough to not worry.

              Correct me if I am wrong.

              From what I saw from the hood it is fiberglass underneath and carbon fiber laid up on top.

                interesting, haven't seen that before (although over in my side of the car world we hardly even see CF parts to begin with.)

                      a ton of lower cost hoods are fiberglass bottoms or some hoods have a fiberglass shell to help shape etc...

                      At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!
