well hopefully this link works to his thread

i would assume AWD is good period. no matter who makes it. as it gives you more drive wheels in the event of wheelspin. but that is just my guess.

While that is true, some AWD is better than no AWD, I tend to follow the school of thought that its nice to have predictable AWD w/ power going to all the wheels at all times rather than the computer thinking "don't need to power the front, don't need to power the front.....shit!!!!..spinning.....immediate power to the front......BAM understeer....shit....front is spinning.....BAM over steer due to lack of front wheel power allocation.....BAM guardrail"

i would hope it is not that bad to adjust for wheelspin.
as that would suck bad. not only serious chance of accident, but revved up and slamming in cannot be good for parts. at least not to have a long fun life from them.

i must have been hearing things then. when that duster went across it sure sounded like free spinning wheels then a big chirp as he hit asphalt again.
could have been the heat making me delirious though.

Hey monty you may be correct, but in my 4200 pounds of dodge, i didn't get air, at least nothing compared to the air i got in the gsx last year, so other cars may have, but not mine!!!

well in all my years i have been wrong a time or xxx.
from where i was at i did not have a totally clean view of that area. so i was just going by what i thought i was seeing and what i thought i heard. as the heat increased i think i became dillusional.

well the skyline awd system was designed way beyond its years. the computer can adjust the power setting from 100 percent rear to all the way up to 50/50. the computer is very sensitive and VERY VERY fast to react to wheel spin (hundreths of a second). wouldn't this also get rid of the top end problem that awd systems have since when tires aren't spinning it is putting all power to just 2 wheels? here is an article scan down to transmission then attesa-ets.

quattro might be good if your looking for safe or whatever. modded cars, i would preferably not have quattro if i had a 1.8t or 2.7t. all it does is weigh it down. (i heard it weighs like 900 more pounds if it has quatro/4motion.

                  no race car? becuz homeowner...
