Find the highest quotes around town that you can. Tell the body man you want an all new quarter panel put on. No pounding out the dent and body filler shit.
Typically the insurance company will put your name on the check... so take it and find someone that does a good job for cheap and throw the rest towards a new engine.
i think he hit on the nail about a new engine!!!!!

How the hell is this going to get covered by insurance without totalling the car? Damn, my Probe got the driver's side tail light smashed and a little paint taken off the quarter panel and it totalled the car. Thankfully, it doesn't matter to my insurance company.

shitty man, when I got my accident, I had to put a little money into it, (ghost flames), to get mods, I had to fight for 2 weeks to get enough money to fix it.

The thing that happened is the person-at-fault's insurance company cut me a check for 10% less than the amount their adjustor determined to be the full value of my car. Therefore, the car was totalled. It didn't affect my insurance because they were not the ones paying.

They sure as hell can. My insurance company had nothing to do with my accident because it was the other persons fault. Since they are the ones paying out, they determine value, appraisals etcetera, if the cost to repair is within 10% of the value they can total your car, You have the option of taking the money and giving them the car, or taking the car and they deduct what you could get for salvage, and give you a check. That is from personal expierience, nobody was taking my car. That fender bender shouldn't total that car, but it may.
