i have been pretty much glued to the tv all day. yeah new orleans is screwed.
when charlie came through fla ( orlando ) cat 3 storm, i didnt have power for 11 days. other areas went 14 at the worst spots. so power out for 3 weeks is probably gonna happen to these guys. trust me that was hell.during watching the news, shepard smith was walking the streets of the french qtr earlier today around 2 pm. just asking people y they are drinking when there is a hurricane coming, what there plans are for evacuation and where they plan on staying. one guy replied " its none of your fucking business" Smith said " wow, on national tv" and walked away. haha that was pretty funny.

here's a thought... if it takes a wierd turn and hits the mississippi river... we could get hit too, it could come right up here.. I talked about this tonight with my bf and his parents... it's possible... and I hope that wouldn't happen. cause then a hole shit load of people are screwed.

theres no way ever a hurricane will ever hit fargo. the mississippi river water isnt warm enough like it is in the gulf of mexico to fuel a storm. only hurricane we'll experience are dinky severe thunderstorms. i know im a dork but anybody watchin the newsman? its pretty funny when they fight the winds and talk into the mic.i filled up with 91 last night at 2.60 in moorhead. gonna be interesting how fast it goes up in short lil time.

btw hurricanes flow in a counter clock wise motion. they dont even make it through a state without losing categorys(hence it was a category 4 when it just made land fall about 12 hours ago, now its a category 1 and will prolly be a tropical storm tonight or morning). but if they come up through the gulf, they usually veer off to the east. only chance is if the pacific gets a hurricane, which is never(to cold of water) and somehow some way california breaks off the USA, nevada blows up, Utah continues to suck so the cane will go around it, montana will bore it so itll skip that, then just want to skip the whole state of North dakota and then hit just fargo.

it is really funny watching them guys trying to report and they are fighting winds and bad rain.. haha I hope they get paid alot for doing that, I'm sure they might

Wow, seeing some of the damage on cnn.com really starts to put things into perspective. Katrina caused a hellacious amount of damage.
I can't imagine being from southern Mississippi, Louisiana or Alabama right now.Seeing the pictures reminds me of Grand Forks in '97, only New Orleans is 10 times the size of Grand Forks
Unbeleivable! I can't imagine what the aftermath is going to be like.
My thoughts and prayers are with those people. -
