In reality, I bet that most people with a loud exhaust won't have any problems with the cops unless you are hotrodding around. Drive around like a civilized person and they won't bug you.
Yes dave, very good point, but what about the people who have what they classify as "speed racer cars" that don't drive like idiots? This give them an assigned target to pull all of us over, for, if nothing else, exhaust and inspect any part of anything that is in/on the car. because, according to the police, Ricer gauges mean there is an illegal stolenm japanese engine under the hood along with drugs, alchohol, and stolen dvd players. I propose a fargostreet meet where we could call press and give them our side of the story. I will organize it, I just want a go from a bunch of other people, and an agreeance on people showing up and not acting like dumbasses. -
just remember cops are reading this right now so maybe this is a good discussion...i say if we see a ton of us imports being pulled over and/or ticketed we get someone to fight it and we all go with them to court...we demand to see proof it has not just been teens in imports that have been pulled over and then start using our own rights as a citizen and calling in every trunk or muscle car and flood the police so they realize that we wont take it sitting down...

Seriously though....next time anyone of us feels like getting on it, think first and make sure your not going to set a bad example either by the noise the car makes or by weaving in and out of traffic. oh yeah....I don't have a fast car right now...:(
ok then...I'll watch out next spring!

Yes... 4 tickets this year so far. Lol.. its not my fault I got DOME parking lot which is like a bazillion miles away...Piece of advice. If you want "T" lot parking, get there the first day that you can register for parking....and be very very early, they go fast. Same goes for any other parking that is somewhat decent.

city council meeting i am sure...............politician chuck your view on this......Hmmm....even better idea. We all start driving responsibly. No reason to say/do anything until we get some proof that we are indeed being targeted. A few words in the paper don't mean squat. Like Tufte said, his shit was edited down, I'm sure the PD's was as well.
Other than that...public venue....hmm.....the forum? Send intelligent, well thought out letters to the editor. Provide insightful views and they just might publish your letter.

IMHO opinion i dont think any of you minors should be sendi ng any letters into or be attending any meetings. I think you should leave up to the little bit older mature crowd who can better handle/word the situation rather than just trying to walk in there throwing a fit and writing letters like your gonna start throwing around law suits. Younger kids always think they can just start making threats w/ law suits and taking people to court but when in reality they have no idea what their talking about or getting themselves into w/ court actions and what not.

that kind of reminds me of something that happened in Australia a little bit ago...they currently reformed the import of foreign cars....i heard this on the JDMOC forum...before they could import cars just like canada can...when they were trying to change the law a bunch of 18yr olds sent in their letters saying that they should be able to import their skylines and blah blah blah...well it ended up backfiring against the whole thing...not sure if that was really relevant but it was when i started typing it lol
