is this to be a daily driver or what is the plan?
not a whole lot of support for the engine if you are thinking to make it quick.
i sold my maroon 93 4dr GP early this summer. 3.1 3spd auto. kept the 90 cutlass supreme as i liked it much better.

why not 93? and theres a lot more cars that come with 3.1s...any w-bodys work...cutlass supreme, regal, grand prix....I think the 93's came with 3100's. I will have to do some more research. Grand prix is my first choice. I think they were top of the line out of the four. Also theres also the lumia. The Grand Prix to me has a better dash/interior. The other ones are plain looking.

how about a 94 grand prix...need s tranny.I need pictures to see if my engine and trans will work. The 93-94 prix's started coming out with the 3100 engine. Which is total difference from the 3.1 it might work.

94s started with the 3100s but it should still bolt right in...the only thing your gonna have to do is change the wiring i believe...and then if you get that 94 car you can take all the top end pieces off of the 3100 and have the hybrid turbo motor...Did some checking on w-body last night. 1993 was the last year your right! I like your idea about the hybrid turbo motor.
Has anyone tried that?? -
yup and it has produced some good numbers as well...the 3100 flows a lot better than the 3.1 mpfi...the heads help even more but then you have problems with the exhaust manifolds but the intake manifolds+tb bolt right up...and actually i have a 3100 top end sitting in my room right now that has been ported and polished...both upper and lower intake manifold and throttle body that id be willing to sell

might also find some help at 60degreev6.com (if the site is still up).
that is all about that 60 degree V6. 2.8,3.1,DOHC3.4, 3100, 3400.beretta.net is one of the beretta scene. bstuff.com i think is another.

I would go to bstuff.com more info and quicker responses just don't come on like a noob(you'll be flamed), there is a search on there that will give you a lot of topics on turboing a retta! Like said before not too many turbo'd rettas most people just swap in a 3400 instead with a 5spd! Good Luck!
